A new (April 2025) population modelling tool has been developed to help deer managers with their cull planning. Its use in cull planning will help land managers achieve and maintain sustainable deer populations.

Monitoring progress
To help reach your objectives, you should:
- carry out regular deer counting exercises
- monitor progress towards meeting your cull targets
- assess the condition of vegetation
