Facility for Investment Ready Nature in Scotland (FIRNS) - How to Apply
FIRNS is currently closed for applications.
Applicants for the third round of FIRNS will be informed of decisions in May 2025.
The delivery timeline of the current round of FIRNS is shown below.
- Announcement and open for applications: 05 February 2025
- Applications deadline: noon 14 March 2025
- Announcement of successful applications by: May 2025
Unless otherwise instructed, applicants are expected to submit separate applications to both NatureScot, using the application form below, and The National Lottery Heritage Fund, through the application portal, each requesting up to 50% of the total project costs. Please refer to the application forms for further guidance or contact FIRNS@nature.scot.

- Fair Work First - employer declaration form - to be completed by funding recipients to provide evidence of complying with the Fair Work First Policy. Completed declarations and related evidence should be sent to your NatureScot Funding Officer or FIRNS@nature.scot prior to any Funding Offer being issued.
